News Summary:

On February 23, 2026, Viaplay Group secured all broadcast rights to the English Football League (EFL) Championship across every Nordic market in a new multi-year agreement. This deal, extending until 2028, solidifies Viaplay's position as a destination for English football in the region, ensuring the Viaplay streaming platform will broadcast every Championship match live, including Play-Off Semi-Finals and the Play-Off Final. Earlier on the same day, Sweden’s media regulator, the Swedish Agency for the Media, awarded licenses for the country’s three commercial FM networks for an eight-year licensing period beginning in August. Viaplay Group’s Rix FM retained its national network through 2034 as part of this award.
