On January 24, 2026, Eurosport, in partnership with RTP, confirmed it will guarantee global broadcast of the Volta ao Algarve. The 2025 edition of the cycling event achieved a record global impact of €36.5 million, according to a study by the University of Algarve and Cision, with all stages available live on RTP2 and RTP Play in Portugal. Previously, on November 6, 2025, a business analysis report for La Vuelta 2025 revealed Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) secured European broadcasting rights for $1.9 million annually, with 16 million viewers tuning in across RTVE and Eurosport. This followed WBD Sports Europe's unveiling of multipurpose studios on October 30, 2025, designed to broadcast the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics live, starting February 6 in Italy. Earlier, on October 20, 2025, WBD, serving as the pay-TV broadcaster, acquired rights in Europe to cycling’s La Vuelta. Eurosport’s deal for the race also encompassed the Ceratizit Madrid Challenge, La Volta Catalunya, La Clasica San Sebastian, and La Clasica San Sebastian Women races.
