ServusTV renewed its position as the free-to-air Formula 1 media rights-holder in Austria, extending the agreement until 2029, announced on June 26, 2026. Earlier in June, on June 10, the broadcaster revealed a new two-part international production titled “Fritz Returns,” which follows team chef Fritz Grampelhuber exploring culinary ideas in California for the Austrian national team’s World Cup cuisine, building on the success of the 2025 "Fritz Was gibt’s?" production. Previously, in March 2026, ServusTV ended its simulcast of premium sports coverage, including Formula 1, on ProSiebenSat.1’s Joyn streaming platform. This move, reported on March 27 and March 25, reflected a restructuring of its digital strategy to maximize exclusivity and shift premium rights fully to its own ServusTV On service amidst growing pressure in Austria’s advertising market. At the beginning of 2026, on January 11, ServusTV reported 2025 as its second-strongest year since its inception, achieving a 4.7 percent market share among viewers aged 12 and over, and 4.4 percent in the 12- to 49-year-old target group.
