On March 19, 2026, Frenchman Mosca confirmed his WRC2 Programme. Previously, on March 18, Secto Rally Finland won the inaugural UN Tourism–FIA sustainability award. Organized in collaboration with the FIA, this program recognizes projects and events that successfully combine sport and tourism with sustainable development, based on judging criteria including environmental, social, and economic impact, innovation, governance, scalability, and long-term legacy. Earlier, on March 17, Rovanperä and Tänak expressed pride in Katsuta as the service park reacted to a new WRC winner. This followed the announcement on March 16 that the WRC will return to the UK with Rally Scotland from 2027. Developed in partnership with Motorsport UK, this new gravel-based event will be located in north-east Scotland, with rally headquarters and service park facilities at the P&J Live complex in Aberdeen, and stages running across the surrounding regions of Aberdeenshire and Moray.
