On September 9, 2026, Paneda announced that RTBF, the public broadcaster serving Belgium's French-speaking community, selected Heynen-Paneda as the supplier for modernizing its DAB distribution platform, following a recent public procurement process. Previously, Bitmovin and Ad Insertion Platform (AIP) announced on September 8 the first live deployment of AIP’s AdBlendr Server-Guided Ad Insertion (SGAI) solution, integrated with Bitmovin’s Player, at RTBF. This initiative, which RTBF began adopting on September 7, moved the broadcaster’s advertising workflow to server-guided ad insertion. The new system replaces RTBF’s legacy client-side and server-side ad insertion workflows, utilizing a standards-based SGAI system built on HLS Interstitials to enhance monetization across live and time-shifted streaming. Technology partners Red Bee Media, Dotscreen, and RMB also contributed to this deployment, which Bitmovin and AIP initially partnered on to deliver as of September 3.
