News Summary:

On April 30, 2026, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced a new Policy on the Protection of the Female (Women’s) Category in Olympic Sport, alongside Guiding Considerations for International Federations and Sports Governing Bodies. Approved by the IOC Executive Board, this policy will apply starting from the LA28 Olympic Games and is not retroactive. Earlier the same day, the IOC named 31 athletes as Athlete Role Models for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games. These role models will support the next generation of athletes, continuing a program that has been part of the Youth Olympic Games since Singapore 2010. This follows the IOC's announcement on April 29, 2026, of a landmark Worldwide Olympic Partnership with JPMorgan Chase, making the firm the first Global Banking Partner in Olympic history. The partnership encompasses the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the French Alps 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
