Avrotros

Avrotros, also known as Algemene Vereniging Radio Omroep and Televisie Radio Omroep Stichting, is a State Owned entity headquartered in the Netherlands. Founded in 2014 through the merger of the broadcasting associations AVRO and TROS, it employs approximately 510 individuals and reported $163.5M in revenue as of 2024. The company functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer and specializes in media managed services. Operating within the national NPO framework, Avrotros is a Dutch public broadcaster whose programming reflects its dual heritage, encompassing a wide spectrum from arts and culture to broad popular entertainment. The broadcaster is responsible for domestic content, including the reality-competition series Wie is de Mol? and the police drama Flikken Maastricht. Avrotros manages the Netherlands' participation in and broadcast of the Eurovision Song Contest, handling both the selection of the national entry and the transmission of the event.
