News Summary:

Octopus Newsroom recently implemented its systems to modernize newsroom operations for Alabama Public Television (APT) on March 13, 2026. APT, which has served statewide audiences through nine PBS member stations for over seven decades, built a new workflow to cover the Alabama legislature. Previously, on March 6, Octopus Newsroom completed a transformation of news production workflows for Griffin Media’s KWTV Oklahoma City and KOTV Tulsa, Oklahoma, stations that produce more than 100 hours of news weekly. This initiative for Griffin Media, which began planning in 2024, culminated in the adoption of Octopus Newsroom to manage content, graphics, and control room production, integrating with systems such as Sony ELC and Bitcentral. Earlier on March 2, the company announced its participation in NAB 2026 in Las Vegas from April 19-22, where it plans to demonstrate "Newsroom in Motion" innovations, including an enhanced AI assistant, a revamped Web client, and Show-Flow Designer.
