United World Wrestling (UWW) on July 2 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kazakh National University of Sports and the Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation to further wrestling development and sports education. This followed UWW's full restoration of rights for Russian and Belarusian athletes on May 15, permitting them to compete without restrictions across all age categories under their national flags at every level, including the senior division, as reported by Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne. On May 9, United World Wrestling announced Las Vegas will host the 2027 Senior World Wrestling Championships from September 11 to 19 at the Thomas & Mack Center, University of Las Vegas Nevada, also serving as the first Olympic qualifier for the 2028 LA Games.
