United States Auto Club, also known as USAC, is a privately owned organization headquartered in the United States. Founded in 1956, it operates with approximately 50 employees, focusing on motorsports and cycling. It functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer. The organization serves as a sanctioning body for auto racing in the United States. From 1956 to 1979, USAC sanctioned the United States National Championship, and from 1956 to 1997, it sanctioned the Indianapolis 500. Currently, USAC sanctions various racing series, including the Silver Crown Series, National Sprint Car Series, National Midget Series, Ignite Ethanol Fuel Series, 25 Midget Series, and Traxxas TORC Series.
On September 6, 2026, Kevin Thomas Jr. and the 4 Kings Racing team secured a victory at the 41st Firemen’s Nationals held at Sun Prairie, Wisconsin’s Angell Park Speedway. Previously, on June 15, USAC opened driver registration for the eighth running of the BC39 Presented by Avanti Windows & Doors, scheduled for June 30-July 1, 2026, at The Dirt Track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Earlier in May, NHRA Top Fuel world champion Doug Kalitta was named grand marshal for the 56th Tony Hulman Classic, a USAC Amsoil Sprint Car National Championship event at Indiana’s Terre Haute Action Track on May 20, thirty years after his 1996 victory. This followed Kyle Cummins conquering Eldora on May 16, winning $12,000 at the #LetsRaceTwo Presented by LGMG opener, his 17th career USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car feature start at the half-mile dirt oval.
