Earlier, on August 24, 2026, former TNA wrestler and current AEW talent MVP attributed the departure of major talent and a decline in TNA's popularity to "gross incompetence" within TNA management. On the same day, TNA added to its roster, officially signing independent wrestler Joe Alonzo after his victory at TNA Lockdown 2026, and also announced that Avery Styles and Kiera Hogan had signed with the promotion, although specific deal terms were not disclosed.
