The trailer for Marvel’s *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* was reportedly rushed and rebuilt from scratch due to a December 2025 leak of an unfinished CGI version, as stated by VFX environment artist Daniel Anton Fernandez on March 21, 2026. This followed earlier reports from March 21 indicating that the low-quality leak, recorded from a studio feedback website, might have been more harmful than initially understood. On March 19, the official *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* trailer debuted, setting a record for the biggest debut ever, with Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios withholding details on Sadie Sink's character. Separately, Sony Pictures Entertainment announced on March 19 its plan to wind down its visual effects operation Pixomondo, intending to integrate some capabilities into other business units after completing current projects. Previously, on March 18, Pop Mart and Sony Pictures confirmed Paul King, known for directing *Paddington* and *Wonka*, would direct a live-action-CGI hybrid feature based on Pop Mart’s collectible monster figure Labubu, which is in early development.
