News Summary:

Sky announced on April 22, 2026, the fifth year of its Sky WNT Fund, reaffirming its commitment to supporting Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team players and the grassroots clubs where their journeys began. Previously, on March 31, Sky Sports and NOW agreed to a multi-year deal with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), making them the exclusive UK & Ireland home for MVP’s new women’s boxing platform, MVPW. This agreement includes broadcasting two all-female UK fight nights annually, with the first UK event scheduled for April 5 in London. Earlier, on March 30, Sky announced Karen Blackett CBE joined its Diversity Advisory Council (DAC), bringing extensive executive leadership experience from the creative media and advertising industries. This follows the appointment of Barny Mills as Sky Group Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer New Business, effective March 1, 2026. Mills, who currently serves as CEO of Sky Deutschland, will continue to lead the German operation until its pending sale to RTL Group is completed, with the combined role aiming to focus on strategic growth opportunities.
