Dutch medical drone trial extended after 800 BVLOS flights

A Dutch medical drone trial has been extended into 2027 after completing more than 800 flights between two hospitals, providing further operational data on the integration of uncrewed aircraft into shared airspace. The year-long program connected Isala hospital sites in Meppel and Zwolle along a fixed 22-kilometer route, with drones transporting medicines and blood samples between the facilities.
