Established in 1840 with a history tracing to the first Ottoman Post Office, the company operates with approximately 14,790 employees and reported $6.1B in revenue as of 2025. Functioning as an integrated telecommunications and technology company specializing in telecoms, Turk Telekom has transitioned through various phases, including a period as the PTT (Postal Telegraph Telephone) directorate, becoming a state-owned enterprise in 1994, and a privatized entity in 2005. As of 2026, the company is majority-owned by the Turkey Wealth Fund (60%), following a re-nationalization period in 2022. It serves approximately 53.6 million subscribers across its mobile, broadband, and television segments, contributing to Turkey’s digital transformation.
