News Summary:

Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) entered a multi-year strategic agreement with US-based Arlington Sports on April 29 to strengthen the international reach of professional and amateur events within the Amazon Armed Forces Cycling Classic. This follows the revelation on April 20 of further details regarding the 2027 Tour de France Femmes Grand Départ in the UK, which will include London hosting its first-ever team time trial. Earlier, on April 19, organizers provided an overview of the route for the 2027 Tour de France Femmes event in Leeds, scheduled for July 30, building on the city's January confirmation as the host for stage one. On April 12, SportA, the joint sports rights agency for Germany’s public broadcasters ARD and ZDF, secured an extended agreement with A.S.O. to broadcast the Tour de France on ZDF in 2027, marking the first time in over 15 years the race will be shown by the German public service broadcaster. Also on April 12, Paris-Roubaix race director Thierry Gouvenou defended the decision to reduce broadcast coverage for the women's race, which occurred on the same day as the men's race for the first time since its 2021 inception.
