On March 18, 2026, the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) announced the creation of the ITTF Doubles World Cup, a new competition approved by its Executive Board, which will feature Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Doubles on the world stage. Earlier in March, on the 3rd, the ITTF confirmed the Men’s and Women’s World Cup Macao 2026, presented by integrated resort operator Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), will take place at Galaxy Arena in Cotai from March 30 to April 5. This followed the ITTF's announcement on March 1, 2026, of a new administrative reorganization designed to sharpen its focus on Member Association development and streamline operations, under which the Federation will no longer maintain a Chief Executive Officer position. Previously, on September 16, 2025, the ITTF and World Table Tennis (WTT) secured a new four-year broadcast partnership with CazéTV, granting exclusive digital free-to-view rights in Brazil from 2025 to 2028.
