The championship will take place in Egypt's New Administrative Capital from September 24 to October 1, 2026, marking the third consecutive edition hosted in Egypt. Previously, on June 21, the IHF provided a retrospective on the 11th edition of the Men’s IHF Beach Handball World Championship, held on Pingtan Island, China, from June 18-23, 2024, in anticipation of the upcoming 2026 IHF Men’s World Championship in Zagreb, Croatia. This followed a similar review on June 20 for the Women’s Beach Handball World Championship, which also took place on Pingtan Island, China, in June 2024, ahead of the 2026 IHF Women’s World Championship in Zagreb. Earlier in June, on June 17, India secured victories in both the junior and youth competitions at the IHF Trophy – Asia Zone II, which was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, between June 10 and 14.
