European Tour, also known as DP World Tour Golf, is a privately owned company headquartered in the UK. Founded in 1972, the organization employs approximately 510 individuals and functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer. The company specializes in spectator sports. It operates as a men's professional golf tour in Europe, also legally known as the PGA European Tour or the European Tour Group, and is currently titled the DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons. The organization also operates the European Senior Tour, which caters to players aged 50 or older, and the developmental Challenge Tour, which is the second tier of men’s professional golf in Europe.
On March 22, 2026, Jordan Gumberg claimed his second DP World Tour title by winning the Hainan Classic presented by MAEXTRO. This follows Jon Rahm's decision on March 21 to effectively rule himself out of next year's Ryder Cup, having withdrawn his appeal against the DP World Tour while still refusing to pay his LIV fines. On the same day, 17-year-old Yanhan Zhou finished tied for third at the Hainan Classic, 15 under par, behind Gumberg and runner-up Jorge Campillo. Previously, on March 20, Wenyi Ding was in a share of fourth place at the Hainan Classic, 14 under par and three shots off joint leaders Jorge Campillo and Jordan Gumberg. Earlier that day, Rahm dropped his appeal against the fines imposed by the DP World Tour for his participation in LIV Golf, a move that placed his Ryder Cup future in doubt as he declined to sign reinstatement deals that other LIV Golf players had accepted.
