Previously, on June 9, PRODUCE Wrestling announced a multi-fight agreement to feature STARDOM talent at its events, with initial appearances scheduled for July 26 in Montreal and August 3 in New York City. On June 4, the Stardom president described Thekla's actions on AEW Dynamite as "vulgar [and] unforgivable," as this year's Forbidden Door will feature CMLL and Stardom as co-promoters alongside AEW and New Japan, marking the first edition since Thekla, a former Stardom wrestler, became AEW’s Women’s World champion. Earlier, on June 3, Major League Wrestling (MLW) announced exclusive Meet & Greet experiences with STARDOM's Saya Kamitani and RINA for MLW's June 11-13 events in New York and Philadelphia. This initiative built upon MLW's May 18 announcement that Saya Kamitani and RINA would make their official MLW debuts in June, signaling the start of the MLW x STARDOM strategic alliance.
