This follows Netflix's decision to increase its monthly subscription prices. Telefonica Spain also forged a partnership with Barcelona-based satellite operator Sateliot, committing on April 30 to advance ground- and space-based 5G connectivity for critical domestic services in security and defense. The collaboration, initially announced on April 29, focuses on deploying 5G New Radio technology in space to extend connectivity to remote, maritime, and underserved areas, and support defense applications, utilizing the latest 5G New Radio NTN standard for a hybrid land and low Earth orbit satellite setup.
