Dish Network announced on May 2, 2026, that it reached a new carriage agreement with Gray Media, restoring 226 local channels in 113 markets across the U.S. Kevin Covell, Dish Video Services senior vice president, stated that the company was pleased to have reached a long-term agreement benefiting all parties and, most importantly, their customers. This followed earlier announcements on May 1, when Gray Media confirmed the agreement to immediately restore all Gray-owned local television stations, including WAFB, WCJB, and First Alert 4, to the DISH lineup, allowing customers to watch local news, weather, sports, and network programming.
