The Ministry of Culture and Azerbaijan Television, with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, organized the 9th Mugham Television Competition. The competition, which included participants aged 8 to 30, began in Aghdam’s Mugham Centre. A final stage of the competition was later held in Lachin on August 25. Separately, on May 13, from 20:45 to 21:30 (GMT+4), the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that Armenian armed forces fired on Azerbaijani Army positions from Gorus and Chambarak regions, prompting retaliatory measures. Azerbaijan also announced plans to host the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit next year.
