Broadband customers, including those of TalkTalk, will see increased payment amounts under the Ofcom automatic compensation system starting April 2026, as new rules take effect. Previously, on April 12, Ovo Energy initiated a legal claim against TalkTalk, alleging failed deal milestones related to a 2022 agreement for the sale of approximately 135,000 broadband customers. Earlier, on April 2, communications watchdog Ofcom named TalkTalk, alongside EE and Vodafone, as among Britain's most complained-about broadband providers for the quarter from July to September 2025. This follows TalkTalk's acquisition of Planet IT, reported on March 27.
