Speedcast recently highlighted the importance of uninterrupted connectivity for operational integrity, safety, and productivity, particularly as organizations integrate Starlink for its high throughput and low latency and seek resilient business continuity architectures for remote and distributed environments. Earlier, on March 12, the company noted potential cost escalations when streaming high-resolution video for CCTV and computer vision over Starlink at remote sites. On March 9, Speedcast announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted it a patent for network optimization technologies designed to improve remote site connectivity, which the company developed to overlay on its Speedcast SIGMA™ intelligent edge network management platform. Also on March 9, Speedcast partnered with Antamedia to integrate Antamedia's Enterprise WiFi Hotspot and Digital Guide Hospitality software into the latest release of Speedcast’s SIGMA™ platform. This followed an earlier March 9 announcement that Marella Cruises partnered with Speedcast to introduce Eutelsat Group’s OneWeb LEO technology across its entire fleet of ships, deploying OneWeb’s maritime connectivity service alongside the already established Starlink service to create a hybrid internet network.
