On April 30, Madison Hwang, Nvidia's Senior Director of Omniverse and Robotics Product Marketing, will visit SK Telecom's headquarters for discussions on omnibus and robotics cooperation. This follows the start of testing on April 29 for South Korea's domestic AI semiconductors in real-world deployment, part of the nation's sovereign AI ambitions. Earlier that day, SK Group announced a partnership with Vietnam to develop the country’s artificial intelligence industry and build AI infrastructure, securing agreements with the Nghe An Provincial Government and Vietnam’s National Innovation Center (NIC) at the Korea–Vietnam Business Forum. Also on April 29, South Korea introduced a universal basic mobile data policy, a scheme developed in partnership with the nation's three major carriers, including SK Telecom, which ensures users exceeding data caps continue to receive unlimited data at 400kbps. Separately, SK Broadband began piloting an AI-media/commerce combination model on April 29, facilitating real-time product recognition in broadcasts and direct purchase connections.
