On August 27, 2026, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) announced its September 2026 Starlight Pass will introduce a new Starlight skin for the Assassin hero Hanzo, titled “Fangs of Slaughter.” Earlier, on August 17, Moonton confirmed a crossover event for its free-to-play mobile and PC hero-collection RPG, Watcher of Realms, with Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise, set to begin August 20 and feature Ezio Auditore. Previously, on August 8, the MLBB Championship Tour Southeast Asia (MCT SEA) was introduced, establishing a new pathway for champions of the MLBB Academy League (MAL) Malaysia to qualify for the M8 World Championship in the fourth quarter of the year. On August 5, MLBB maintained its leading position in EWC 2026 viewership, even as League of Legends demonstrated growth with a 22% increase in peak viewership and a 31% rise in hours watched. This followed an August 3 announcement that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will host 16 teams and offer nearly a million dollars in prize money at Games of the Future 2026, an offline event in Astana, Kazakhstan.
