MASORANGE is a privately owned company headquartered in Spain. Founded in 2024, it operates with approximately 940 employees, primarily focused on telecoms. The company was created as a joint venture between Orange Europe and MasMovil, which serve as its parent companies, and its key subsidiaries include Jazztel and Orange Spain.
MasOrange began shutting down its 3G networks on March 16 in Zamora and Roquetas, following similar moves by rivals Telefonica and Vodafone, with plans to extend the phase-out to three additional cities before a nationwide rollout in 2026 and 2027. Previously, on March 15, the operator, which serves around 31 million mobile and seven million broadband subscribers, initiated a migration of its Jira and Confluence DC processes to the cloud to unify operations following its 2024 merger between Orange España and MásMóvil. Earlier in March, MasOrange obtained the GEEIS (Gender Equality European & International Standard) certification, granted for four years, reflecting its commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion. In late February, MasOrange partnered with Ericsson to deploy a unified 5G Standalone (SA) Core across all MasOrange Group brands, a strategic agreement to develop new 5G services for customers while unifying its 5G network and eliminating remnants of the Yoigo-branded network and equipment from Huawei and ZTE.
