LG Electronics, also known as LGE, is a publicly owned company headquartered in South Korea. Founded in 1958, the company has approximately 56,120 employees and reported $62.8B in revenue as of 2025. Functioning as a consumer electronics conglomerate, it specializes in computers and electronics manufacturing.
LG recently announced Gallery+, a new service that transforms compatible LG Smart TVs into dynamic digital canvases displaying artwork, cinematic scenes, photographs, and gaming visuals, redefining the role of the television beyond entertainment. Earlier on March 22, the company began production of oxide LCD panels for laptops, which feature a variable refresh rate that can go as low as 1 Hz from 120 Hz, and lower power consumption compared to conventional models due to an unnamed oxide material that retains an electrical charge longer. This follows news from March 21, when the LG gram 16-inch Copilot+ PC, equipped with a Core Ultra 9 processor and 32GB RAM, received a price reduction of $426.17, making it available at $1729.76.
