Huawei recently crowdfunded its new Wi-Fi 7 router, featuring a "metal mesh crystal antenna" and a "shark fin" heat exhaust system, on the Japanese crowdfunding site GreenFunding on March 22, 2026. Also on March 22, the company prepared to unveil its latest smartphones towards the end of March, promising innovations such as enhanced battery life and new designs. Earlier the same day, Huawei outlined plans to introduce ultrafast electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in South Africa, revealing its ambition to deploy "mega" chargers during the 2026 Africa Energy Indaba in Cape Town to significantly reduce charging times. This follows the launch of its latest AI accelerator card, the Atlas 350, on March 20, 2026, at the China Partner Event. The Atlas 350 is powered by the new Ascend 950PR processor, intensifying the global AI chip competition.
