This agreement followed a new media rights deal signed on September 3, 2026, between EHF Marketing (EHFM) and the FFHB, effective for the 2026/27 season, aimed at providing French audiences direct access to these competitions. Earlier, on August 10, 2026, the FFHB detected unauthorized access to its federal software, Gest’Hand, prompting immediate security measures with its service provider to protect associated data. In June, global e-commerce retailer Aosom became an Official Supporter of the FFHB. The federation also announced on June 13, 2026, that France would co-host the 2030 European Women’s Handball Championship with Belgium, a confirmation released during the Champions League Final Four.
