On September 18, 2026, the EU-backed Scaleup Europe Fund, a €5 billion vehicle, was reportedly in early discussions to invest in ElevenLabs, the voice AI company seeking over $500 million in a new funding round. This potential investment follows ElevenLabs' previous $500 million funding round in February, which valued the company at $11 billion. Both sides declined to comment, and sources close to the talks indicated a deal is not guaranteed. Previously, on September 17, ElevenLabs launched "Reception," an AI agent designed to handle calls for small businesses. Available in more than 70 languages, including English and Spanish, the virtual assistant provides 24/7 service for answering questions, booking jobs, and scheduling appointments directly into business calendars. Earlier that same day, reports detailed that the newly established Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by Swedish private equity firm EQT AB, had approached the UK-based artificial intelligence company regarding an investment.
ElevenLabs's customers primarily consist of marketer and agency technology and computer Games companies. Examples of ElevenLabs's customers include Paradox Interactive, MNTN and Magicave. ElevenLabs has commercial and technical partners like Audacy, Super Hi-Fi and Pika Labs.
