On March 18, Bloomberg hired Tim LeeMaster as an editor on its Deals team in New York; LeeMaster previously developed and led Health Payer Specialist, a news product focused on health insurers, at FT Specialist. Earlier, on March 16, Scott Patterson joined Bloomberg's Crypto/Cross-Asset team as a senior reporter, effective March 23, after two decades at The Wall Street Journal covering government regulation and markets. Previously, on March 13, Bloomberg informed employees based in the Gulf region, including its Dubai regional headquarters, that they could temporarily relocate and work from outside the region. A company spokesperson confirmed staff in the Gulf had been given this choice, stating Bloomberg continues to serve clients "without interruption" even if some staff choose to leave, a move mirroring actions by other global companies like Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley responding to the situation.
