Previously, on September 17, Vodafone Germany reinforced its 4G and 5G capacity at Oktoberfest in Munich, installing additional LTE and 5G capacity across 24 mobile sites with 109 antennas. The company anticipates record data traffic during the event, surpassing the 238 terabytes recorded last year. This follows a September 16 report indicating Vodafone Group would miss out on over €1.1 billion in deferred payments from German broadband venture OXG, after its partner Patrick Drahi’s Altice agreed to sell its stake. The Financial Times reported that Vodafone was set to receive €487 million in deferred payments and an additional €595 million from Drahi’s Geodesia Holding, contingent on hitting business objectives.
