Vodafone Business and Cassava Technologies launched Egypt’s first AI factory on September 15, 2026. This initiative aims to establish advanced sovereign AI infrastructure within Egypt, enabling organizations to develop and operate artificial intelligence applications locally. The project also intends to strengthen the country's data hosting and processing capabilities, supporting its ambition to become a regional center for AI and advanced technology. Previously, on September 14, 2026, Cassava Technologies partnered with Vodafone Business and Egypt’s Elsewedy Electric to build a major data-center operation in Egypt, supporting a $1 billion Nvidia-powered AI data center.
