Previously, on March 18, Astrobotic announced it received a contract from Thales Alenia Space to develop a lunar wheel assembly solution for the Multi-Purpose Habitation (MPH). The MPH, an Italian Space Agency (ASI) program developed in partnership with NASA, forms a core element of the Artemis architecture designed for lunar surface habitation. This follows ARQUIMEA's completion on March 17 of the structural and thermal test model for the QKD-GEO payload, which is now entering its validation and testing phase. The QKD-GEO project, led by Thales Alenia Space, aims to strengthen Spain’s technological sovereignty in secure communications.
