Previously on September 16, Sharp confirmed it would sell Nvidia RTX Pro servers equipped with eight GPUs, developed with parent Foxconn's support, with Foxconn manufacturing the systems outside Japan. This followed Sharp's statement on September 15 that it started taking domestic orders for these AI servers, collaborating with several companies in Japan and abroad to enter the expanding domestic AI server market and help develop AI infrastructure, with sales planned to commence in fiscal 2027.
