Seven unveiled its campaign for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games on April 28, 2026. This followed Southern Cross Austereo's (SCA) announcement on April 26 that Rohan Lund, a television executive and digital media pioneer, officially took control as chief executive, with interim CEO John Kelly returning to lead audio. Earlier, on April 24, SCA had appointed Lund, who previously served as COO of Seven West Media and CEO of Yahoo7, as its new boss, announcing the change to the ASX after the Anzac Day weekend market close. The Seven Network also reported strong ratings, with 7NEWS Spotlight's 'The Green Dream' season opener on April 19 drawing 723,000 national viewers, making it the most-watched current affairs program that night and the program's biggest season opener since 2022. Previously, on April 18, the Seven Network reached 12.1 million Australians nationally, securing a 43.0% total TV audience share from 6:00 am to midnight, with 7NEWS Monday being the top program at 2.45 million viewers.
