Seven West Media, publicly owned and headquartered in Australia, was founded in 1992, operates with an estimated 2,970 employees, and specializes in broadcast media production and distribution. The company offers broadcasting TV services, print, and online publishing, with its network consisting of free-to-air and on demand channels. It also owns magazines and newspaper assets.
On March 15, 2026, Southern Cross Media Group chairman Heith Mackay-Cruise confirmed to staff the exits of Angus Ross, group managing director of Seven Television, and Trent Dickeson from the Seven West business as part of fresh leadership changes. Ross concluded a 27-year tenure with the group. This followed a March 14, 2026, announcement indicating Ross and Dickeson, Seven West's COO, had been removed in a major leadership restructure at Southern Cross Media Group. This change occurred after the departure of Jeff Howard, former chief executive of Seven West and CEO of the combined Seven and Southern Cross company. Previously, on March 12, 2026, Angus Ross, a 27-year veteran, left Seven West Media following its merger with Southern Cross Media earlier this year. Ross and Dickeson's departures were the latest in a series of personnel changes that have favored former Southern Cross Austereo staff over Seven staff since the two merged in January.
