ProSiebenSat.1 appointed Ingrid Heisserer, former chief financial officer and chief human resources officer at RTL Deutschland, as its new CFO, effective February 1. Previously, on August 28, RTL's parent company Bertelsmann reported organic growth exceeding 5% and a 45% increase in group profit for the first half of 2026, with revenues reaching €9.3 billion. Earlier in August, RTL disclosed its first-half 2026 results, showing a turnover of €2.89 billion, a 3.9% year-on-year increase, largely driven by Sky Deutschland, with organic growth at 0.1%. On August 12, CEO Clément Schwebig noted that Sky Deutschland's acquisition provided a strong but temporary boost to RTL's Q2 numbers, cautioning that Sky’s “seasonally favourable” contribution was “not indicative for the full year” results. This followed RTL's announcement on August 8 that it would move all online comments for articles on RTL.lu, RTL INFOS, and RTL TODAY exclusively to social media platforms starting August 15, ending direct commenting on its sites.
