Radio Vaticana, also known as Statio Radiophonica Vaticana, is a state-owned entity headquartered in Vatican City. Founded in 1931 and employing approximately 100 individuals, it reported $13.9M in revenue as of 2023. The company specializes in media managed services. Capuchin friar Father Roberto Pasolini, the preacher of the Papal Household, delivered the first of his Lenten Sermons on March 6, 2026, with Pope Leo in attendance. The sermon focused on conversion and following Christ "on the path of humility," initiating a series of sermons held every Friday until March 27 on the theme "If anyone is in Christ they are a new creation (2 Cor 5:17)." Previously, Pope Leo XIV urged Catholic priests to resist the "temptation" of using artificial intelligence to write sermons during a closed-door meeting with the clergy of the Diocese of Rome on February 19. The Chicago-born pontiff advised his fellow clergymen to "use your brains more," emphasizing that "the brain needs to be used" and that "like all the muscles in the body if we do not use them if we do not move them they die."
