Previously, on February 25, 2026, news emerged that the Northern District of California denied the Mountain West Conference’s motion to dismiss an antitrust action on September 30, 2025. This lawsuit challenged escalating fees imposed on the Pac-12 for recruiting individual member schools. Earlier, on December 23, 2025, the Pac-12 appointed Playfly Sports as its sponsorship sales agency as it prepared for a new era in college sports.
