Ministry Of Information & Broadcasting (India), also known as MIB, a State Owned entity, headquartered in India, was established in 1947. The ministry is an apex executive ministry of the Government of India, responsible for formulating and administering laws, regulatory frameworks, and national policies governing public and private broadcasting, digital media, print journalism, and the cinematic entertainment industry. In addition to its regulatory mandate, MIB acts as the primary agency for communicating Union Government policies, news, and official initiatives to citizens through traditional mass media, digital networks, and public outreach campaigns.
