Meta AI expanded its Muse personal agent on September 17, launching a Mac app nine days after its initial release. Previously, on September 8, Meta AI debuted Muse, a personal AI agent designed for the iPhone to handle various tasks, mimicking chat interfaces and following a trend of AI companies creating personified characters for relatability. This followed Meta Superintelligence Labs' introduction of Muse Voice Transcribe on September 5, a real-time audio perception model built to convert live speech directly into text. The system can separate more than 20 distinct speakers in recordings lasting over an hour while simultaneously managing native language transitions.
