Founded in 1989 by a consortium of Greek publishers (Teletypos S.A.), the company, which operates as a tier 1 media tech buyer, employs approximately 350 individuals and reported $91.9M in revenue as of 2024. Functioning as a broadcast television and radio entity, it holds the distinction of being the country's first private television station. Following a temporary closure in 2018 due to a financial crisis, its rights, archive, and logo were acquired by its parent company, Alter Ego Media. The channel successfully relaunched on February 17, 2020, and operates as a commercial broadcaster in Greece.
