On September 14, 2026, Local Now announced a significant expansion of its free streaming television (FAST) platform, partnering with Gray Media to integrate 111 of its local television FAST channels. This addition brought Local Now's total to nearly 600 local news FAST channels, making it the largest local news footprint in free-streaming. Previously, on May 21, 2026, Local Now incorporated four new free live channels, including FilmRise World’s Evil Killers, FilmRise Highway to Heaven, Elevation Church Network, and Scripps Sports Network, expanding its lineup of true crime documentaries, inspirational programming, and athletic competitions. This followed an April 15, 2026, announcement that the platform added seven new channels, among them ION and Bounce XL.
