On September 5, IWBF stated it was aware that four members of the Iranian delegation, including the head coach and assistant coach, were awaiting visa decisions for the championships. Previously, on July 10, IWBF and The Hague University Of Applied Sciences received an International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Classification Research Grant to undertake a project aimed at enhancing the integrity, credibility, and fairness of Para sport competition.
