E.ON signed an agreement on September 5, 2025, to sell its Czech subsidiary, Gas Distribution s.r.o., to GasNet, a ČEZ Group company. This divestiture aligns with E.ON's strategic plan for 2024-2028, which focuses on regulated operations and sustainable growth in the European energy landscape. The company is pursuing a bottom-up approach to flexibility in the energy transition, leveraging existing assets to optimize flexibility potential. Thomas König, COO Networks at E.ON, stated that this sale will further drive the green energy transition and allow the company to pursue ambitious growth and investment goals.
