On June 27, Lara Gillespie claimed her second national championship title in three days, winning the Elite Women’s Road Race in Co. Mayo amid wind and rain. Previously, on June 25, Gillespie secured her first TT National Championship in Co. Mayo on a record-hot day, finishing ahead of Linda Kelly and Marine Lenehan, while Mullen retained his TT Championship. Earlier, on June 19, Cycling Ireland named a team of nine riders, including 2024 Junior European Championship winner Lucy Benezet Minns, to represent Ireland at the UEC Junior and U23 Track Cycling European Championships scheduled for the following month in Cottbus, Germany.
