News Summary:

On March 10, 2026, Ceske Radiokomunikace (CRA) announced it is transforming its existing cloud environment into a modern, own orchestration tool built on open-source technologies. This decision follows Broadcom's discontinuation of the Cloud Service Provider Programme (VCSP 1.0), which underpinned some CRA services. Previously, on February 27, 2026, the Czech operator sold the Jested transmitter and the Horsky hotel to the administration of the Liberec region for CZK 181 million, noting the building housing the transmitter is recognized as a historical monument. This follows the official start of construction for CRA's Prague Gateway data centre on September 9, 2025. Expected to be the largest data centre in the Prague region, it will form part of the AI Gigafactory project in the Czech Republic, with construction projected to take two years and services commencing in 2027. The 4000-m2 data centre will boast a capacity of 26 MW and accommodate 2000 racks. Earlier, on August 8, 2025, CRA began transmitting the Romanian children's television channel TraLaLa on its DVB-T2 multiplex 23, making it available in Czech to over 99 percent of households and becoming the fourteenth TV channel carried by the multiplex.
