Conatel Venezuela, also known as Comisión Nacional de Telecomunicaciones, is a state-owned entity headquartered in Venezuela. Founded in 2000 and employing approximately 400 individuals, the organization functions as the autonomous regulatory authority of the Venezuelan State responsible for the administration, supervision, and control of the telecommunications sector. Operating under the legal framework of the Organic Law of Telecommunications, Conatel ensures the democratisation of access to information and the sovereign management of the radio-electric spectrum. The authority utilizes its regulatory powers to grant administrative concessions, oversee the National Numbering Plan, and manage the CUNABAF (National Table of Frequency Allocations), while also acting as the national registrar for the .ve domain through NIC.VE.
